The Musical Theater Studio

Why study musical theater in Germany, instead of choosing the typical summer program in New York or the U.K.?  There is musical theater work in Germany! You will learn about those opportunities, and make contacts with musical theater professionals and casting consultants who work in Germany.  (Read more…)

For most students, however, the goal is Broadway, and the MTB experience offers intensive musical theater training and individual attention in a beautiful alpine environment free from your normal distractions.  At the same time, it gives you the enriching experience of studying abroad in a country with a completely different language and culture.

There are lots of singers out there who can't dance well, and dancers who can't sing well... don't be one of them!  MTB focuses on all aspects of performance, and gives you the chance to work on any weak spots in a supportive atmosphere.  We offer personal attention to every student from fabulous faculty members who will coach and mentor you to make the biggest possible difference in your skills over the course of four weeks.

You will have the opportunity to work on contemporary, as well as traditional, musical theater numbers at MTB, and we will consider your input in assigning your performance pieces so that you can effectively expand and work to perfect your audition repertoire under the guidance of our expert faculty.
